Mads Caprani floor lamp

An original vintage Timberline No.840 floor lamp, designed in the 1970s by Danish designer Mads Caprani.

Mads Caprani is a designer representative of Danish mid-century lighting design, well known for work that combines organic curves using bentwood with functional structure.

The Timberline No.840 features a combination of a naturally curved wooden stem, a hefty half-moon cast-iron base, and a pleated shade. 

When lit, the light spreads softly downward, adding a subtle atmosphere to the space. It is a model that well reveals the aesthetic of 1970s Danish lighting design with its clear sculptural presence.

The shade is an original pleated shade with a paper core inside to hold its shape and linen fabric laminated outside—the standard specification used by Caprani Light AS at the time. 

The shade, structure, and base engraving are all preserved in original condition, and it maintains very good vintage condition overall.
