Mother-of-Pearl Mosaic Plate

A vintage plate made using traditional Indian metalwork techniques. 

A piece completed by precisely refining the brass surface and then inserting mother-of-pearl fragments one by one along concentric circles in a mosaic inlay method. 

It has a hefty weight for its small size, and the mother-of-pearl takes on different light depending on the angle. 

A size that can be used for various decorative objets such as a trinket, jewelry, or candle base.
