Fostoria Ebony Glass Candle Holder

A candle holder by Fostoria, made in the USA in the 1920s. 

A collection designed by George Sakier, in which modern black glass and classic scroll handles show the structural, refined aesthetic characteristic of the Art Deco era.

The Ebony glass introduced by Fostoria in 1924 drew much attention for its deep, alluring black glass color, rare at the time.

Fostoria was recognized as an icon of the Art Deco era from 1887 to 1986, and since production ceased, its rarity and artistic value have been even more highly regarded.
